Project management enhancement

Currently, AsyncAPI Open Source Initiative's outcome-based roadmap do a great job to visualise the overall vision and outcomes. However it lacks visibility and practicality, making it challenging for individual contributors to understand where we stand in terms of our progress toward our vision.

This Pitch aims to address these concerns by proposing changes to enhance alignment, clarity, and practicality within the current roadmap framework.

Motivation

The motivation behind this proposal is to create a framework that provides a clear understanding of AsyncAPI vision and enables individual contributors to track their progress towards achieving desired outcomes.

By improving visibility and practicality, we aim to foster a stronger sense of engagement, alignment, and accountability among contributors.

Scope

• Studio: Enable Spec 3.0 validation only asyncapi/studio#746
• Create studio design system issues - visual editor
• Support Spec 3.0 release
• Support Design work
• Setup GitHub App shapeitapp/shapeitapp#34

Outcomes

1. Spec 3.0 release work is easily discoverable for individual contributors
2. Design work is easily discoverable for individual contributors
3. Studio work is easily discoverable for individual contributors

Global outcomes

1. AsyncAPI Initiative outcomes are clearly articulated, achievable and measurable
2. AsyncAPI contributors feels a sense of ownership and progress
3. Consistent and transparent communication channel to share updates on the progress of outcomes
4. AsyncAPI Initiative outcomes are prioritised based on impact and alignement with the global vision
