Pasting New List Added Line Break Before and After the List Item

When pasting a list item in an existing list, it will add a line break before and after the pasted list item.

Expected

It should just paste the item without adding the extra line breaks

Observed

It creates a space/line break before the pasted list item and after

Reproduced

1. Create two separate lists in Markdown
2. Copy or cut one list item from the second list
3. Go to the first list, press Return so it creates a new blank list item
4. Paste the list item
5. Observe it adds a line break before and after it
