NDS Ironmon Tracker 5.1.4

Bookmarking

  • Enemy Pokémon now have a new "bookmark" icon. Clicking this will allow you to mark the Pokémon.
  • Marked Pokémon can then be toggled in the Pokémon overview screen of the log viewer.
  • This is useful for when you find a threatening Pokémon and want to know what it had later in the log, since runs can take a while and you might forget what you wanted to look up.

Shoutouts to Crozwords for suggesting this!

NDS Ironmon Tracker 5.1.0

NOTE: If you get an error upon installing with auto updates, restart the new tracker script and it should work.

This is a very large update, adding lots of new features, such as:

1. Randomizer Log Viewer

  • You can now view logs generated from the Ajarmar randomizer!
  • Pokémon stats, abilities, level-up moves, TM moves and evolutions can be viewed.
  • You can also view important trainers, such as gym leaders, your rival, or the elite 4.
  • Every trainer has a dedicated team viewing screen, allowing you to see the stats the Pokémon would have at its level, among other things.
  • There is also a fun "Statistics" tab to look at, mainly showing you which mons have the highest special attack, attack, etc.
  • These logs are viewable after you game over (which has its own special screen). Speaking of which...

2. Game Over Screen

  • There is now a dedicated game over screen when your run dies.
  • A run is considered "dead" the moment the highest level Pokémon in the party dies.
  • The game over screen will display one of a few messages and includes a button to view the log for the current run.
  • Want to add your own game over messages? Just edit "death_quotes.txt" in the main tracker folder!

3. Run Tracking

  • Any post lab run will now be saved and is viewable in the "Tracked Info" screen.
  • You can sort A-Z, date(newest) or date(oldest). You can also apply a minimum badge filter to find those far runs you had.
  • Clicking swap will show the exact stats, moves and ability of the Pokémon that ended you.

4. Statistics Tracking

  • Along with 3., there is now a dedicated screen for viewing statistics about past runs.
  • These statistics include data such as your overall progress, what BST ranges you ran, moves you had, etc.
  • Statistics, like past runs, are only updated when you have a run get past the lab.

5. Early Pivoting Info

  • For any early routes that are considered viable for pivots, the enemy screen has a new icon.
  • This icon will show how many unique Pokémon you've seen, and how many can appear.
  • Hovering over this icon shows more detailed info, allowing you to see every Pokémon on that route and which levels they have appearaed.
  • Clicking while hovering shows detailed vanilla data, which can be very useful.

6. Other Small Features

  • Added a random Pokéball selector. You can disable this if you want under "Tracker Appearance."
  • Made the tracker autosave per game now, instead of only one autosave file.
  • Updated Fighting and Psychic type icons.
  • Added profiles for generating ROMs with the quickload feature.
  • Added a neutral stat marker.
  • Added gender-specific evos for a few Pokémon.

7. Bug fixes

  • Fixed a bug where Illusion in Gen 5 would make your own Pokémon get tracked incorrectly.
  • Fixed eggs being revealed early.
  • Fixed first time startup errors on BizHawk.
  • Fixed Pokémon White 2 not working.

Special thanks to the Gen 3 tracker team, PyroMike, Mirasz and Darkeye.

This release includes a very important addition, which is automatic updates.

Automatic Updates

  • The tracker can now fetch new updates, and will automatically check once per day and prompt accordingly if an update is available.
  • If an update is available, you can install it right away! The tracker will run a series of commands to extract and install everything for you.
  • Thanks to this, color themes and other user-specific settings will no longer have to be manually readjusted now!
  • Visiting the GitHub release link for new downloads is no longer necessary after this one as a result.
  • You can also manually check for updates via a new button in the tracker's config menu if you'd like.

Miscellanous

  • Changed version to X.0.0 instead of 0.X.0 from now on, as I felt like it makes more sense this way.
  • The attempts folder has been moved to the topmost directory for ease of finding.
  • Various description related bugs were fixed for moves and other things.
  • Tracker will no longer load for White 2, it hasn't worked for a while but now will correctly prevent you from using it on this game (for now).
  • Removed "clickable info hovering" and "display hovers to the right" under "Tracker Appearance" as I didn't see a single person using these and would like to avoid settings bloat. They were also a bit buggy in terms of emulator padding.
  • Improved Settings.ini validation so tracker crashes from this are less likely.

Huge thanks to @UTDZac for doing all of the work related to the extraction, installing, and version checking. This would not be possible without their contributions.

NDS Ironmon Tracker 0.4.3

This is a minor release that consists of the following:

  • New Pokémon icon set by Fellshadow! I believe these are based on Explorers of Time, and they look great!
  • Fixed bug where out of double battles, the tracker could stop working.
  • Fixed several move descriptions being inaccurate (Huge thanks to BurninTheBlues for their work on this tedious effort).
  • Added a warning popup if your ROM is not supported by the tracker.

NDS Ironmon Tracker v0.4.2

0.4.2a: Tracker now automatically increments an attempts counter for each difficulty you play on, located under "ironmon_tracker/settings/attempts/". This is specifically incremented with the rom generation feature, and these can be manually set to a specific number as well. Also fixed the automatically generated ROM being the same name as your source ROM. Fixed Future Sight and Doom Desire descriptions for Gen V.
0.4.2b: Fix the tracker not detecting switch-ins correctly in Gen 4. Re-arrange the arrows in the Tracked Pokémon screen.
0.4.2c: Fix the tracker accidentally revealing enemy stats when Transform was used in Gen 5.
0.4.2d: Fix the tracker not updating battle stats correctly in Gen 4.

New Features

1. New Icon Set

There is now a brand new set of Pokémon icons for you to choose from! These are Pokémon Stadium inspired, and were carefully drawn by Amber Cyprian to look super nice on the tracker! Massive shoutouts to them for putting in the time to do this.

Preview:

familypicture

You can change icon sets in the settings gear, under Tracker Appearance.

2. Double Battle Support

You can now cycle between opponents in double battles! Pressing the button that cycles to the opponent more than once in a double battle will now cycle through every enemy.

Other Features/Fixes

  • The ancient Gen V bug where switching out (or the enemy switching) would sometimes not be updated by the tracker has been heavily reworked and fixed. Transforming/Imposter may still cause issues with updating (they shouldn't), so please let me know if they do.
  • Added a way to make hoverable info clickable, and also display it to the right of the tracker screen to help with certain layouts.
  • Made the locking feature toggleable and turned it off by default.
  • Updated ability description of Simple to be more accurate.
  • Updated move description of Chatter to be more accurate.

This release adds very minor features and fixes several bugs since the major release of 0.4.0, which you can find here

Bug Fixes

0.4.1a: Fix longstanding annoying bug in Gen V where level ups would sometimes spoil if your attack hit or not in battle. Temporarily removed status icon for Gen V since it was not working.
0.4.1b: Along with 0.4.1a, fix battle stats showing early in Gen V when you got level ups.
0.4.1c: More Gen V battle logic fixes. Also fixed faulty stat stage updating logic that made Punishment fail to calculate correctly.
0.4.1d: Fix "Show 1st fight stats in Platinum" setting not working when disabled.
0.4.1e: Fix a bug I introduced where stat stages completely broke in Gen V.
0.4.1f: Requested by CaliYuga, added a "Blind Mode" feature under tracker appearance, which hides stats and ability as a fun setting.

  • Fixed bug where alternate forms were not marked correctly unless you were viewing the enemy mon, and if an alternate form mon came into view while you were on the enemy it would also stop the tracker.
  • Fixed Super Potion value.
  • Fixed bug where clearing the next seed combo and then adding any button would immediately run it.
  • Fixed Frisk, Klutz and Big Pecks abilities having German descriptions.
  • Fixed accidental bug introduced where enemy stat stages stopped showing.
  • Fixed batch seed folder display being nearly blank.

Features

  • Made all joypad/click pressing events happen when the key is pressed rather than released.
  • Re-added ACC/EVA labels with a toggle under Tracker Appearance.
  • For icons that use the Top/Bottom box border color, they will use the Top/Bottom box text color if you make your borders/background the same color key.
  • Nature based berries (Iapapa, Aguav, etc.) will now also display a small confirmation that your Pokémon is fine with them when hovered over.
  • If your Pokémon has a status (poison, freeze, etc.) a small icon will display at the top right of your Pokémon's image. Thanks to Ninjafriend for this!
  • Added contact to move descriptions that make contact.
