Files with .gif images

The following files have their images listed as .gif type. Moreover, these gif files are not even in the image git directory. Not sure if Gif images presently display or not.

I see there are beth shearim images in the dropbox, but these are tif files and don't seem to correspond to specific inscriptions.

Email I sent to Birkin and Adam:
"I remembered dimly that we used to keep that kind of asset in a django directory outside the django project itself. This was when Birkin had hopes that there would be one CDS django and it would have subprojects, perhaps. In any case, I've looked in a lot of places with no luck - old backups, the old Brown SVN repo, and more.

I took a quick skim for image code in the OLD-ARCHIVED_iip-2018 git repository and found a mention of this /django_z_media/iip_z_media/inscription_images

As I'd prefer not to root around in dev or prod, could you tell me if you can find about 100 IIP images that have gif extensions?"
