Clarify what chunkedgraph functions work for non-root nodes

Today we discussed that it'd be helpful to document what functions are for more than just root IDs.

This is probably a technically breaking change, so we discussed adding passthrough functions with similar names/arguments and adding a deprecation warning to old ones.
