I installed the app some days ago and it stopped working. Today I reinstalled the latest version. No change. Bluetooth is activated!

I did remove the app and then did a re-install, now its working again. (Last time I did not remove the app before re-installing) So this is quite hard to reproduce.

1 day after, the app stopped working again!

Same here on a Pixel 3 XL with latest Android 10.
Did not re-install yet, so if you need any more debugging info just ping me.
Also noticed this error message in the notification:

That's the same issue as issue 34
Maybe these two issue's should be merged?

I was able to "fix" the issue by deleting data and cache of the app.

I assume especially the data wipe would be unproductive (gets rid of contact ids)?

But maybe someone else can try deleting cache only, and see if that would be enough (or i'll try if it occurs again)

I have exactly the same problem. The message 'tracing deactivated' with the activation switch grayed out and bluetooth running. Reinstalling does not fix the problem. Clearing the ache and appdata fixes, the problem. but you need to reinitialize it.

Some thoughts: The key reason we run this app is to collect anonymous contact data, this data is kept only on the phone (is there a backup anywhere ?). So we should make an effort avoid loosing it !

Other thing: How can I see which version/build I'm running ? There is no 'about' or similar item where this is listed.

I tried it tonite again. Deleting cache only (and restarting the app) did not solve the problem. Then I deleted the app data and cache and restarted the app.

The app worked as long as i was in my WiFi. As soon as I lost connection and switched to mobile data the app stopped working with the error mentioned above and in other issues.

Going back to home WiFi had no effect on the app. It's still not working.

I'm not sure Wifi is related. I left home for shopping, underway I used mobile data, in the shop Wifi and at home Wifi again and the app still works !
