Removal instructions

Hello ... before i go into this, I just want to thank you for all your work uncovering this and creating methods to possibly (part of what my point is ) remove this.

I just found out the box i have been using for years (since late 2020) is one of these boxes and despite mine being bricked when i removed the default launcher (FULLY and always using ATV Launcher anyway) and now all i see is an android guy with his stomach open and a chip showing (no red X) ... I am trying to decide what to do with the box. It seems like good hardware and i have had no issues with this UNTIL the news of this Malware.

I am a Linux user and somewhat tech-savy though some coding stuff goes over my head. Not being 100% happy with alternative ideas (I now am back to my OLD firestick for streaming and a Pi2 with LibreElec which lags .... .I see LibreElec has no support for the H616 chip my box has ... "cant support" or "not worked on yet" is up in the air)

ANYWAY sorry for the babbling but my point is IF I get this box working again (just to a default state which is turning into an issue in itself) .. can i follow the posted steps and at least feel a little better IF (that if is a big one and i have no clue what i am doing yet) i decide to use this again (I wouldn't feel comfortable now unless i tried your instructions and it still worked afterwards) .... would ... oh i say this loosely ... would the box be sort of safer to use, in your opinion? (I mean the bad code should never have been there in the first place... but i am willing to buy a usb-a to usb-a cable and try getting the firmware back up and then try your instructions.
