Wrong format resulting reset timetable

The first image is before the use of command and the second image is after using this command: 'edit i:1 c/12-1'. It seems it doesn't recognize it as format error but takes it as valid command. The result of the command is reset the timetable. This may cause inconvenience to the user as they might lose the timetable data.
