Server freezes and online tool window becomes unselectable if someone tries to join w/ the wrong version

People have mentioned this to me and it also matches my experience running a server.

That is, someone will post a screenshot of their screen to show me the error they're getting when trying to connect, and in the background I will see them trying to connect to my server (which is using 1.3.1) using version 1.2 of the online tool. And then I won't be able to move the online tool window with my mouse or select or click anything in it.

Edit: Forgot to mention you also can't close the SM64O tool window when that happens

I have experienced this type of freeze as well, at least twice. Had to shutdown the sm64o.exe process using Task Manager.
