It would be nice to be able to install/upgrade ilorest directly using dnf

Its good idea. In that case, we need to support all flavors of linux.

Debian and Ubuntu already have python-ilorest: https://pkgs.org/search/?q=ilorest

@champtar Does that mean the official recommendation is to use the 3.6 version?

Look at Debian sid (5.0.0.0) and Ubuntu 24.04 (4.8.0.0)
With EPEL you could always ship latest for the RHEL family

@champtar , We have dropped publishing .deb and .pkg (mac). Ubuntu/Debian/MAC can use ilorest from pypi.org. RHEL/SLES will continue to have RPM. We are still evaluating ilorest rpm in EPEL repo.
