@ankurdohare: Restarting the server has fixed the problem as of now. It seems that there is something wrong with the way I'm using memcached maybe. I'll look into fixing it permanently after 3 weeks.

TODO: Implement a cache validator decorator that automatically refreshes the data in the memcache if it has restarted
