Scheduled posts aren't being published at the schedule time

"Also, we're having issues when scheduling stories. They aren't always publishing. I'm wondering if it's an issue with Cloudflare? Just wanted to mention in case in needs to be included in the text convo with them.

For post scheduling, our managing editor tried to publish for 7 a.m. today. It just didn't publish at all. It's happened several other times with other posts."

Didn't we run into this on another site recently? Any recollections?

Do they have the WPE Alternate Cron installed? I'll check with WPE.

Alternate Cron is enabled now. Here's some information about it: https://wpengine.com/support/wp-cron-wordpress-scheduling/

Because Cloudflare limits the amount of traffic that directly hits MS Today's WordPress install on WP Engine, and because 7 a.m. is early in the day, it's likely that the site wasn't receiving enough traffic to trigger the WP Cron mechanism that would publish the post.

If posts continue to not publish on time now that the Alternate Cron is installed, we'll have to dig deeper.
