I cant install the addin in XS 5.8 and it seems to work ok. I can open it, i click add server, it ask me for credentials, then the list of repositories appear. I select one and close but the server doesnt appear in the list. And then i open Team Explorer but it ask me to add a server anyway.

I am getting the same issue. Fresh install of OpenSuse 13.2 and Monodevelop 5.7. I can install just fine (TFS support Version 1.7). Select Tools -> TFS -> Connect To Server. Select Add, then Visual Studio Online tab, Fill out info and click ok, then fill out username/pass and click ok. It then returns to Team Foundation Server List and it remains blank.

You'll have to create ALTERNATE AUTHENTICATION CREDENTIALS in your TFS online user profile. With those credentials it will work.

@hanzwo it wont work. It does not validate my credentials at all. No matter what I use as my username and password, the screen will just disappear.
