I have tried to get to a working state several times with this. I resolved an issue with signing of the module by creating the signing file in certs. Resolving that issue causes the machine to hang on startup. I have tried this several times, same result each time.

This was working well before prior to 6.11. I was able to set all four of the zones to the colour I wanted.

At this point, I can use an unsigned module to stop the rolling colours - it will staically set the keyboard to a lemon yellow colour. Even with an unsigned module, doing this as a part of the boot proess hangs the machine. Doing an insmod in /etc/rc.d/rc.local hangs the machine. Doing it from an interactive shell after the system is booted is the only way to stop the rolling colours.

Not ideal and if I can help by providing some debug information I am happy to do so. I can try to see if I can get it to work on my Nitro AN517-52 but I don't want to tinker with the AN16-73 as it's the laptop I use more.

Same issue on the Nitro AN517-52. System hangs with a signed kernel. Insmod indicates that the kernel is tainted and the module unloads.
