How do we use QueryString?

We get better search results with a basic query than we do with the multi_key search provide from the $model->search function:

Are there any docs on how to use the QueryString object to build the query instead using search?

Is this how it's supposed to be applied, use the search function to get the builder and apply the QueryString through a must statement?

Are you referring to using the search function? That adds the multi_match which I don't want.

This seems to get me what I'm looking for. Is there another way to do it that you were thinking of?
