Hello

I today upgraded my ubuntu 23.10 to ubuntu 24.04 and noticed that the connection was not stable (connects and disconnects continuously).

Googling for it, I eventually found a solution by deactivating ipv6 for my Internet connection.

Being surprised not to find any mention of the bug here, I decided to create this post in the hope of seeing this bug fixed in the future.

Thanks for reaching out. I'm wondering why Outline Client isn't disabling IPv6 as expected when it connects:

Is it possible another service on the system is reactivating IPv6 after the Outline Client turns it off?

I unfortunately don't have the expertise to answer this question. All I can say is that it is a direct consequence of upgrading to ubuntu 24.04 and that I am not the only one to have suffered from this bug.

A second consequence of the upgrade is the launcher disappearance, but it's only a minor nuisance.

this bug is present on almost any distro that has the more recent versions of dependencies, I'm not sure if it's the Kernel, Network Manager or something else but the client works fine on Pop OS which is based on 22.04 LTS. tho it keeps continuously reconnecting on OpenSuse Tumbleweed.
