What is the problem?

In Episode 2, some of our learners today were not able to directly move to their Desktop from their username (~) file. After some digging we found out that they were both Windows 11 users with OneDrive, and did not have a ~/Desktop file. I checked my personal Windows 11 laptop and saw the same thing. To get to their desktop, they instead have to navigate to ~/OneDrive/Desktop.

This is a different OneDrive desktop issue than #180 to be clear, and it is not an issue of the directory being hidden.

I'm still on windows 10 not 11 but I see this problem when learners windows laptops are setup by their department. Sometimes without much ability to change things. I'll have to setup onedrive and see if I can come up with a useful note.
