I have successfully installed manim 0.18.1 under Anaconda (from conda-forge) on my Intel MBP and M1/M3 iMac/MBA all running the latest update of Sonoma. Everything seems to work perfectly and I can create animations. I've noticed two things.
The M1/M3 Macs insist on downgrading ffmpeg from 5.1.2 to 4.x whereas the Intel Mac uses 5.1.2. This may be related to #3726 but I'm not certain.
The typing_extensions package seems to be installed twice, with one instance named typing_extensions and the the other named typing-extensions. I couldn't find an issue or discussion related to this so I thought I would point it out here.
