Nothing showing up

followed everything that was exactly done in his tutorial video yet the one i tried with his method on the right has not worked at all,the one on the left is a partial different method. (just using another resource pack and inputting). Has anyone else had this issue or know how to fix it?

It is just a theory but did you try this with OptiFine?
