Describe the bug
Multiple times now, it's been stuck showing one or more notifications saying "Syncing" and "Syncing ... repository..." Tapping "Cancel all" does nothing, and even force closing the app doesn't make it go away, which makes zero sense.

To Reproduce
Have the app auto-update repos

Expected behavior
It should update the repos successfully in a timely fashion or, if there's some issue, abort after a reasonable amount of time, and it should absolutely cancel when hitting cancel and definitely not continue even when the app is force closed

Screenshots
If applicable, add screenshots to help explain your problem.

Relevant information:

  • Device: Samsung A71
  • Android Version: 13
  • ROM: One UI 5.1
  • App's Version: 1.0.5
  • Disabled battery optimization for Neo Store? Yes
  • What is your selected installer? Default session installer

Additional Notes

  • If you're on the latest Test version(from the TG-Channel or Matrix-Room) please report there directly, not here.

  • If you're on the latest github version:

    • Please search the Issues, if one does match yours, leave a comment there if there's some extra information you can provide.
  • If you're not on the latest github version (Official F-Droid builds take some days to update). Update, then make sure that the bug is still there. If it's go further with reporting.

Thanks for reporting!

I got tired of the same notification being stuck showing for days so I uninstalled the app, and the notification still didn't go away. I'm guessing it won't until I reboot, but I find it very strange and confusing how an app could have a notification persist even past uninstall. I suspect it got hung by the system, and so I'm not even sure how much of the issue is with this app vs Android, but it's also the only app I've had the problem with, and it's happened multiple times.
