I'm a graduate student working on website maintenance for a state agency and also am studying sexual violence prevention. I recently updated a page that links externally to the Labor Commissioner's Victims of Domestic Violence Leave Notice (PDF). This notice is required under California Labor Code 230.
I think it would be great to have an "Safe Escape" button component that could easily been added to websites using the State Template so that the employees that this is intended to protect can safely access or hide this information.
Ideally, the notice would be website text rather than a PDF, which may download automatically or be harder to conceal, putting victims at risk.
Let me know if you have questions or would like any more information or assistance. Thank you!
