You will need specific *.PAK-files copied into your Content directory for d2 (where $MOD is d2) namely :

DUNE.PAK
VOC.PAK
ATRE.PAK
HARK.PAK
ORDOS.PAK
INTRO.PAK
FINALE.PAK

And you can download Dune2 (including the PAK-files) from:

d2 mod
