The eShop version of Cave Story doesn't consistently play sound effects. In LLE mode there is no issue (but there's an obvious performance impact that makes the game unplayable for me)
Expected Behavior
Sound effects playing consistently throughout gameplay instead of only sometimes.
Reproduction Steps
Start a new game, go down the starting cave, and collect the Polar Star. When you shoot, a sound won't always play. This happens with every sound effect and can also be seen in the menus.
