Suspected restrictions ,Password Reset Instructions #106
Comments
Hmm, you sure nobody used your email in the password reset form? |
Can verify this , has happened to me to , regenerated auths to see if happens again |
Actually, I have it as well. But I am still not entirely convinced it came from using deviceauth/EFC. |
My account is a private domain email, the probability of it being reset by someone else is very small, and the email is not a verify, but a notification that my account has been locked and I need to reset my password to continue using it, the original auths has been determined to be invalid. |
Maybe it's worth considering not logging into epic account to check for new free games. |
Not a bad idea, actually. Could you put this into a separate issue? |
Added. Hopefully that helps this issue too, but I'll keep it open for now. |
After four days of normal work, it seems that the account was restricted and I received an email from epic asking me to reset my password and that the original login token was no longer valid.
If possible, hopefully the free game pickup check can be done using no login status to avoid frequent logins leading to account restriction.
The content of the email is as follows:
Hello ,
Epic Games has initiated a password reset on your account. You will need to change your password before logging in.
Please click the button to reset your password for your Epic Games account.
