Visitors land on this page when they navigate to the seattle voluntech website. Basic index page.

Registration Page

A visitor who would like to register as a business who needs help or a tech volunteer who would like to help can navigate to the Registration Page from the Landing Page.

Login Page

A visitor who has previously registered as a business or a volunteer for the Seattle Voluntech page can navigate to the Login Page from the Landing Page to get to their profiles and other protected platform functionality.

Business Profile Page

A business visitor will see the Business Profile Page after logging into the platform. On this page, a user can take the following actions:

View & Edit:

  • Business Name
  • Account Email Address
  • Open Projects
  • Completed Projects

Project Lifecycle:

  • Open new Project
  • Complete Open Project
  • Delete Open Project

Other Options:

  • Close Account

Business Profile Page

Volunteer Profile Page

A volunteer visitor will see the Volunteer Profile Page after logging into the platform. On this page, a user can take the following actions:

View & Edit:

  • Volunteer Name
  • Account Email Address
  • Open Selected Projects
  • Completed Selected Projects
  • Closed checklist of skills (frontend, backend, full stack, design)

Other Options:

  • View Open Projects (open_projects page)
  • Close Account

Volunteer Profile Page

Projects Page

Any visitor to the Seattle Voluntech platform should be able to view the Projects Page (three user types: 1. anonymous (no login), 2. logged in - volunteer, and 3. logged in - business). A user's view of the projects page is dependent on the user type.

  1. anonymous (no login) user
  • An anonymous user can navigate to the Projects Page from top navigation
  • On the Projects Page, a anonymous user can see a list of all open projects
  • An anonymous user can select a project to view project details
  1. logged in business user
  • A business user can navigate to the Projects Page from top navigation or Business Profile Page
  • On the Projects Page, a business user can see a lit of all open projects
  • A business user can select a project to view the Project Detail Page
if projects owned by business user:
    a business user can edit the Business Detail Page
else: 
    a business user can view the Business Detail Page
  1. logged in volunteer user
  • A volunteer user can navigate to the Projects Page from top navigation or Volunteer Profile Page
  • On the Projects Page, a volunteer user can see a lit of all open projects
  • A volunteer user can select a project to view the Project Detail Page
  • From the Project Detail Page, a volunteer user can click "Select Project" button to opt into the project.

Projects Detail Page - Volunteer

A volunteer user who selects a Project from the Projects page will see a unique version of the projects page. The volunteer user can "select" a project from projects page. This "selection" sends a message to the project owner indicating the volunteer's interest and provides the business contact information for the volunteer.
