Particles are very laggy, take longer to appear, and are not as prominent

Hey there! I had the Quest Particle Turner for 1.12.2 and I fuckin loved it so much but it seems the new update is a lot worse than the 1.12.2 version. This is what it looked like in 1.12.2 ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLWcHujd-Vg&feature=youtu.be&ab_channel=ZaleAnderson ) and now in the latest version, the particles are barely noticeable and it's laggy as all hell. I reinstalled the mod, bmbf, and beat saber and the mod still isn't the same as 1.12.2. Do you know about this and have any fixes?
