The current version is over a year old (2023.7.3-22).

we already have issues with homeassistant package

homeassistant has a huge amount of dependencies and some are hard to build.
mainly the ha_av module (a homeassistant clone of ffmpeg wrapper) will need the possibility to build pyhton wheels with spk/ffmpeg dependency (this will not be developed before #6282 is completed).
And homeassistant >= 2024.4 needs python312 (may be provided by #6282)

you always have the option to install homeassistant with docker.
If your diskstation model does not support docker, I am sorry, but further homeassistant packages will support x64 and aarch64 models only.

IMHO for serious homeassistant installations you need a dedicated device with HA OS installed.

Is it possible to at least update it to where we can use HAC? Is this going to be worked on eventually? Or is this abandoned? Thanks!
