Lost logic

This seems to have lost a bunch of logic in the move to angular. Was that intentional?

Missing logic includes:

• We used to not allow checking in to events that were in the far future. Immediate benefit: it was less likely that people would click the wrong button and check into a different event instead.
• We used to have two modes: one for people pulling up the site on their mobile phones (the default) and one for use on public computers. The key diff was that the one on public computers would automatically sign the person who'd just checked in out of both facebook and the API, and then redirect back to the home page for the next person in line. Without this mode, it's pretty much impossible to have people checking in on a shared computer
