Issue Description

This issue also affects login from the lock screen as it relies on kaccess, which is provided by plasma-desktop as well. It may cause further missing dependencies, and should be resolved as a matter of priority. Currently working on a solution in the dev branch of my fork, which I will likely start a pull request for once my current PR (#20) is resolved.

Steps to Reproduce

install the image
login
witness plasmashell not start

On what version of Vanilla OS this happens?

Unreleased

This is happening due to the removal of sudo as plasma-desktop relies on it. I've bypassed this in my own branch for now by simply not removing sudo, and upstream have offered to potentially at some point write a polkit wrapper for us to get around this issue.

plasma-desktop does not seem to have resolved this issue or in fact made any change whatsoever. Investigating further.

See new title. This issue does not persist in hyper-v or virtualbox so now I believe it to be related to drivers rather than missing packages.

Seems I spoke too soon on the fix being hyper-v, this is fixed in kvm as well by #23
