Canceling SIWE signature in-app is slow to respond

After connecting the wallet and then clicking to request the SIWE message, you can cancel the operation by clicking the 'x'. This disconnects the wallet.

This works, however clicking the 'x' doesn't do anything for a few seconds so you don't get any feedback. This should either operate immediately, or show a spinner while it's loading.
