Problem with Icon/Banner images, only when adding the icons later to the banner with aurora. #8
Comments
It is most likely a problem with Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redist x86 being missing on your system, we have a fix for that coming later today. We are also actively working on scraping ALL meta data for ALL games using PC software. |
Actually, reading this more, you seem to have stumbled upon a odd issue that needs more testing to fix, there's no reason why there would be a difference between which you add first (icon or banner). If you would be so kind as to share files that produce the issue that'd be great. |
Thanks for the quick answer, I have looked and it seems that I have the latest version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redist x86 installed, I am very happy to know that you are working on scraping ALL meta data for ALL games using PC software.
I am afraid that the content will be lost, I have seen that by creating the defaults with the modified id I can download all the content with aurora, the problem is that I cannot download more than 10 images and I would like to download all the available ones (it seems that they are not more than 20 in any game), and then you would have to manually insert the content into the GameData folder and modify the content.db file to add the synopses.
It would be great if you could download all the content from the marketplace from your PC in the import format that Aurora uses to automate the installation process.
I am going to share the files with the error and without error, they all have the same size.
You can replicate the problem by disabling icons in the assets section, then adding a game and downloading the banner and then enabling icons and downloading.

@JaviJJ117 whenever you have time, could you try to provide the files i've requested so we can look into this? |
Hello, I sent it to you a while ago, the file is attached to the email.
I am going to share the files with the error and without error, they all have the same size.
You can replicate the problem by disabling icons in the assets section, then adding a game and downloading the banner and then enabling icons and downloading.

Unfortunately answering the e-mail with attachments doesn't add them to the issue. Did you send them to my e-mail outside of Github? If so - it must've gotten lost along the way i think as i don't recall seeing the files anywhere. If you use Discord you can find me in the RMS server... |
@Swizzy Sorry, I've been replying to the messages from the email and attached the file with the reply, but it doesn't seem to arrive. |
Perfect, thank you - i'll try to find some time soon to look into this issue further so we can fix it :) |
@Swizzy I want to inform you that I have already finished creating all the default.xex with all the Unity Ids, except the Homebrew and Xbox Classic ones, I have also added 69 Classic Xbox game Ids in the marketplace, with these files you can now do it a total copy of the Assets of the marketplace with Aurora, the drawback is that only 10 captures can be downloaded, I hope this can be changed, I tried it, modified the Aurora configuration database, modified the number of captures from 10 to 20 but it didn't work, the file was corrupted, I know that in Freestyle 3 you could take up to 20 captures. |
@Swizzy In the end I have seen that the 20 images can be downloaded only by modifying the settings.db database, if the scan is done from scratch no errors occur, the error only occurs when there were previously saved screenshots, I have tried the SS*** *****.asset file with 20 captures and Aurora Asset Editor displays it without problems, the only problem is that when entering the Aurora configuration the value resets to 10. |
Hello, I have seen that the images in the GL.asset file are not displayed correctly in Aurora Asset Editor when in Aurora we download the banner image discarding the icon image and later adding the icon image, (In Aurora there is no problem and the icon and the banner are displayed correctly).
If I do it the other way around, I add the banner after the icon, this does not happen and Aurora Asset Editor shows the images correctly.
I would like this to be solved because I am going to create a backup of all the assets of the marketplace before it closes and I will do it without icons because I will use the same default with the modified ID number to download the assets of all the games, what happens is Since the icon is by default, I won't be able to backup the icons, but there's no problem because they can be added later with Aurora.
The only problem is the one mentioned above, that Aurora Asset Editor does not correctly display the banner and icon images by creating the GL.asset in this way
