Installation does not work

When trying to upgrade from an older version I found that the Install process does not work, neither upgrading nor uninstalling-installing:

>akamai --version
akamai version 1.6.0

>akamai install akamai/cli-cps

Is there any missing metadata / packaging in the latest release?
