Have you tried contributing this back to pfsense? I would find it really useful to have it as a default feature.
I think that only think it would be needed is a ticket on https://redmine.pfsense.org/issues and a PR on github referencing the bug.

I don't think they will accept it as it circumvents the original security design of the web interface. This is something you can use at your own risk.
