Comments
Hi @mariolenz, now we have done Certification for OS10 collections and its uploaded in automation HUB and Ansible-galaxy also. Now have we fixed many issue as a priority and based on the demand. Shall we close this ticket? |
This collection has been removed from the community package, in version 8 as far as I can see. Keep this issue open or close it, I don't really care 🤷 |
Hi @mariolenz, for OS9 & OS6, know that from end of September 2023 its going to deprecated. If you share your mail id, will forward the mail, which we got from redhat. Subject: Re: OS10 Certified Ansible Collection The OS10 collection release has been approved on Automation Hub and is available there now. Thank you for all the great work to get this out! |
No problem, they've also been removed from Ansible 8 :-)
I'm afraid you don't understand. This collection has been removed from the ansible community package. This hasn't anything to do with approvals or certifications from Red Hat. I see the collection is available on galaxy and since you got the approval from Red Hat it's probably also available on Automation Hub. But if you want to see this collection in the ansible community package again, I'm afraid you have to request being included again. |
It looks like this collection is effectively unmaintained. According to the current community guidelines for collections, we will consider removing it in a future version of the Ansible community package. Please see Unmaintained collection: dellemc.os10 for more information.
At least one month after this announcement appears here and on Bullhorn, the Ansible community engineering steering committee will vote on whether this collection is considered unmaintained and will be removed, or whether it will be kept. If it will be removed, this will happen earliest in Ansible 8.0.0. Please note that people can still manually install the collection with
ansible-galaxy collection install dellemc.os10
even when it has been removed from Ansible. The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
