Add a (maybe even checked by default) checkbox "don't generate the new address at usage detection"

Too many questions are arised. Maybe a better phrasing is required, but the idea is to let those who know or who's interested to know why the address is changed, let know it and allow for that autochange, and left the address stable for all the others. Or maybe (or additionally) create a "generate new address" button instead.
