We have an issues only repo. We've invited some external collaborators to that repo - so they can read/write issues in that repo.
We're now exploring using Jira as the ticketing system in place of github issues, and to that end I've installed the Github for Jira app in our github org and for the time being restricted it to the single repo.
All the docs on setting up seem to assume that one person has admin control over both Jira and Github. Is it possible to make the connection between our github org and this Jira instance so that we're not giving anyone access they don't already have - i.e. managed by the existing Github permissions.
I guess ideally we'd be in a position where developers could still e.g. create branches directly from the ticket, and there's a link in the ticket to relevant PRs and so forth. But maybe this isn't possible?
