Webplot digitizer does not show up on my Windows 10 start menu. there seem to be no 'install' program. I can get it to show up on Start menu (hit windows icon lower extreme right of screen).

it does run from'application'.exe in my downloads folder.
thanks
Bob

Hi - yes, there's no installer for Windows in the zip archive. This is mainly because I am not a Windows user myself so haven't had the time to write an installer. Running the executable directly should work fine as you noticed.

Hi Bob,
First, you need to create a shortcut for this software by yourself (simply right-click and create shortcut).
Then, you can right-click its shortcut and choose "Pin to Start" or "Pin to Taskbar". This shortcut will appear in your Windows Start menu.
Besides, if you want it to appear in the Program List (as a item) instead of the Start Menu (as a square icon), you can directly copy this shortcut to this folder "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs". After doing this, you will find a new item in your Start Program List.

@6zhenyu There is an additional documentation as .pdf file (here, and here -- depending on the setup available to you, you have to download the file to read it). Because your hint may be very useful for future users of the program, would you be fine if a future release of this documentation adds this advice?

Hi @nbehrnd ,
Of course. Feel free to use my advice. Thanks for your contribution to this software.
Cheers,
Zhenyu
