Describe the documentation issue

Given the announcement that AWS no longer support the onboarding of new customers to CodeCommit, new accounts within the orgs of existing users of ADF may face significant extra friction, whilst new organisations will be unable to make use of the CodeCommit provider. The installation guide as currently structured will fail for new organisations.

The docs should make this clear to new users, and document a migration path away from CodeCommit for users unable to tolerate this extra friction with new accounts.

Thank you for opening this issue and highlighting the docs that need to be changed.

You are correct that the installation of ADF will fail in new AWS Organizations.
As the installer relies on CodeCommit for the aws-deployment-framework-bootstrap and aws-deployment-framework-pipelines repositories.
Both of these are automatically setup and kept up to date via pull requests by the installer.
We are looking into this. However, we do not have a short-term solution just yet.
The installer is not an easy component to change unfortunately.

In the meanwhile we should change the documentation to inform our user base, I will make sure we open a PR for that shortly.
