If we are hoping for this module to supplant the functionality of the core taxonomy field, we need a way to provide free-tagging, where a new referenced entity can be created just by entering a title that does not match an existing entity of that type.
I'm not sure if this option can be provided through just a field widget (see issue #1) , or whether we need to make it a more fundamental aspect of this module.
It is also not clear how we handle any required fields, beyond title, that a entity might have, as leaving them blank might cause data integrity issues.

So, I guess I'm testing this module for the first time and this was the first problem I ran into. I expect to be able to add new terms while editing a node.
Would this a core blocker? It seems like pretty important functionality, but on the other hand I can see the possibility of adding this after it's in core. I think there will be enough demand that it will not get forgotten.
