See https://github.com/altsysrq/proptest (and likely others, haven't done research).

This is already implemented in a somewhat crappy way in the event testing system, although I don't know enough about property testing or the abilities of existing libraries to know if they can cover the cases used in the event system. Definitely worth exploring though, and even if it doesn't replace the event testing framework, could possibly be used in the transaction tests.
