Is there a way to configure "Desktop" ? and Not just inside Folders?

@FunghiFannoBene - Desktop is a tricky concept in Nautilus and Gnome - while its content does seem to live in $HOME/Desktop its on-screen behaviour is not as a folder - so, unless that were to change, with Nautilus actually managing the desktop, I don't think that's possible.

(Sorry for the late response - this stuff doesn't pay :D )
