Pressing the "Video chat" button in a Buoy Alert when using a mobile device presents a user with a message to install the Jitsi Meet app, rather than a Web-embedded version of the Jitsi Meet video conference interface.

  • Buoy version: 0.3.3
  • Platform: Android, iOS, or other mobile device
  • Browser: All
  • URL: (any incident chat screen)
  • Is it reproducible: Yes

Steps to Produce/Reproduce

  1. Create a new Alert or join an existing incident chat.
  2. Press the "Video chat" button in the Incident Toolbar.
  3. Observe the installation request screen:

This issue does not occur on desktop/laptop devices.

Expected Results

Jitsi video conference interface is immediately available.

Actual Results

The user is prompted to install an application locally.

Workarounds

Use the browser's "Request Desktop page" option, if such an option is available.
