As of currently, the events section of the mod maker feels very lackluster. At most, you can edit money/fans taken/given, small hype boosts, broken furniture, and editing studio statistics. You are unable to affect game sales, game fans, the stock market, etc. This restricts modders to a smaller range of possibilities.

In response to this, we should add 5 different options for events, such as:

  1. Impacts on Game Sales/Game Fans - We should be able to create events that directly impact any games that the player has up on the market. You could be able to increase/decrease sales and the gain of fans by percentages with a cap set by Xavier. There would also be a value for how long this should last in months. Using this, you would be able to create an event for, let's say, a controversy surrounding your company that leads to a 20% reduction in sales and a 15% reduction in fan growth for 3 months.

  2. Impacts on Trending Themes - Modders would be able to create an event that gives a positive or negative bonus to any theme for a length of time in months. For example, you could give a +4 bonus to the popularity of Zombie for 6 months.

  3. Impacts on Stock Market - Finally, similar to the game sales and game fans event, mod makers would be able to create events that impact the stock market, should it be negatively or positively. You could have the markets gain or lose by percentages with a cap set by Xavier. There would also be a value for how long this should last in months. For example, you could create a stock market crash that drops 15% for a month due to some unexpected event.
