Other device classes ?

first of all many thanks for this super project.

I would like to throw the idea into the room to include other device classes in the profiles.
I think of e.g. the Unifi hardware (AccessPoints, Switches, Gateways) then e.g. also something like Alexa Show, Nuki Bridge, Printers, etc.

Is that desired?

Sure would be a good idea. As long as the power consumption is predictable (rather fixed, or derivable from some state), it may be added to the library.
All supported strategies linear, fixed and lut are supported in the profiles library.
When you have a working powercalc configuration we can have a look what's needed to add it to the library.
The device class list can easily be extended when needed.

Would it also be quick to extend the Docker container for measurement for such devices?

Surely only a device class would have to be added, which now has nothing to do with speakers or lights.

Nevertheless, the HASS integration should remain to be able to measure the standby and operating current.

I would then want to measure some devices, such as AccessPoints, FritzBox, Unifi Gateways/Dream Machine Pro etc..

You can measure the average power draw during x time using the docker container.

For example to measure for 60 seconds.
docker run --env-file=.env bramgerritsen/powercalc-measure:master average 60

When the power consumption is more or less the same constantly for example for accesspoint / fritzbox, than it can be configured as a fixed configuration in the model.json file.
When it fluctuates a lot we cannot add it to a powercalc profile unfortunately, as deriving kWh from that would be not correct enough.
