I really like this plugin. After using it for a while, I noticed that it seemed to be missing some features I thought might be beneficial to include:

It would be nice to be able to:

  • Configure and press a hotkey/key combination to have highlighted text spoken; and if no text is highlighted, read the whole document. The same hotkey can be used to stop the narration.
  • Highlight text and, when right-clicked on, have a togglable option in the context menu to show (or hide) an option to speak the highlighted text.

It would be really nice if these could be added, but they're not a high priority.

Best regards.

You could already add shortcut keys for the existing menu options:

But there is likely no toggling possible this way and also not the automatic switch between readout of a selection to the whole document.
I'm not sure if plugins could add own entries to the context menu.

A toggle button (with an icon) would be a great addition, which seems closely related.
Or should I better file another issue for this?
