The chef_client_scheduled_task resource in the chef-client cookbook should declare unified_mode true at 1 location:
- /var/chef/cache/cookbooks/chef-client/resources/scheduled_task.rb

This resource shouldn't fire on Chef Infra Client 16 or later, which is why we've deprecated this cookbook. The resources to manage Chef Infra Client are built-in now, which provides a much simpler experience and avoids compatibility problems like this one.
