If I click on the ImageBlockX icon to block all images it changes icon and shows "Images are blocked" and blocks all images. But then, if I restart Firefox, it starts with ImageBlockX's icon showing "Images are blocked" but they aren't.

How to reproduce:

  1. Start Firefox with ImageBlockX showing "Images are allowed"
  2. Click on ImageBlockX's icon to make it show "Images are blocked"
  3. Close all instances of Firefox and start it again
  4. ImageBlockX's icon shows "Images are blocked"
  5. Open any website to see that browser shows images

System information:

  • Windows 10
  • Firefox 57.0.4 (64-bit)

Workaround if this issue occurs:

  1. click on ImageBlockX's icon to make it show "Images are allowed"
  2. then click on the icon again to make it show "Images are blocked"
  3. this time it will really do as it says and the addon will work correctly until you restart Firefox with images switched off again.

@PolarGoose @bonanza123 are either of you still having these issues? I made some changes since then, and would appreciate know if those fixed the problem.

@ckuhl, the problem hasn't been fixed. It still reproduces (version 0.3.2) using the reproduction scenario described in this bug report.

Maybe we can borrow "Initial operation mode: Load No Image" from "Easy Image Blocker" by Akira Atsumi to overcome this issue.
Also a white-list feature as in "Fast Image Blocker" by AdblockLite and/or blocking only huge pictures like in "Tunable Image Block" by danykey would be very useful.

Thnx
