Convert all strings to unicode? #546

I think we should re-discuss the types of strings used, see #109 for the previous discussion.

I'm with @untitaker on this and believe we should convert everything to text/unicode, especially .to_ical().

Are there currently any other backwards-compatibility breaking propositions around?
