Version 6 - alpha testers wanted (alive)

Greetings iCalendar lovers! We have released Version 6 of icalendar with a bunch of new features, fixes AND we need your help! Please install the latest version and provide feedback!

pip install icalendar==6.0.0a0

By default, we will provide you with zoneinfo timezones now. You can still use pytz if you like but you need to install it.

Please provide us with feedback so we can release a production version in October when Python 3.8 reaches its End Of Life.

recurring-ical-events Feedback

I released recurring-ical-events==2.2.2. It is compatible with icalendar==5.* and icalendar 6.*.

This requirements.txt entry allows developers to choose:

icalendar >= 5.0.0, < 7.0.0

pip install --pre recurring-ical-events # icalendar==6.0.0a0
pip install recurring-ical-events # icalendar==5.0.13

I put this into the test-requirements.txt:

icalendar >=6.0.0a0

The tests were all running fine. It was easy to parametrize them to check pytz and zoneinfo using pytest in conftest.py:

I just found this to show download statistics: https://www.pepy.tech/projects/icalendar?versions=5.*&versions=6.*
It shows that we have some v6 installs, and loads more v5.

I wonder: Since Python 3.8 is EOL soon, we could release the new 6.0 release soon without waiting longer. We will not make a 5.x release in the mean time. Also, more fixes have come in that would be valued. Nobody complained. I think, we can go on with the release.
