Something like:

./cbq-engine -datastore="https://user:[email protected]:18091"

Apparently this is not supported?

This is not currently supported, but we can certainly at least investigate and add if it would prove useful. I've filed a feature request here: https://issues.couchbase.com/browse/MB-14051
